About Nila
Born in Nijmegen and now 36 years young, Frans Peelen entered the fascinating world of lighting in 2010. He began his career in retail but soon shifted to Philips Lighting in 2012, which later became Signify. During his 11-year tenure at this industry leader, Frans held various sales roles for indoor and outdoor lighting. Prestigious projects for clients like Heineken and Johan Cruijff Arena are highlights of his impressive career.
What made his time at Signify truly invaluable is the extensive network he built among installers, consultants, interior designers, and architects. His passion for lighting was intensified by striking projects and luxurious interiors. As Frans says, "Light is an experience, and with light, you can add value to a space."
At home in a charming 1930s house near Den Bosch, Frans continues this love for design with his wife and daughter, where lighting alongside color and natural materials plays a central role. Now, with a decade of experience and passion, NILA is the stage upon which Frans brings his vision of innovative and ambient lighting to life.
